PPPC#5

It's time for another challenge at Papers Pads and Pictures!  What is your favorite color?  Seventy-five percent of all people say that their favorite color is a cool color....blues, greens, purples....colors that create a sense of calm.  The warm colors often evoke strong emotions.  Colors like red, yellow and orange remind us of warmth and fire.  It's human nature to seek peace which accounts for the overwhelming response of color preference.

This challenge is for you to create a card using your favorite color combination.  What appeals to you?  What colors together bring you your personal peace?  Create a project that expresses your feelings...

What is my favorite color?  I would have to say Green and really it's mainly deep greens, but greens in general.    Now to add green and color combination.... I would have to say earth tones.  I am a nature at heart person, I love the outdoors and animals.  So I always tend to lean towards earth tones a lot, I just recently within the last couple of years bought my first pink shirt lol.  I just prefer the woodsy smell and the sun on me while I'm camping, fishing or just enjoying a stroll through the nature park.  I have not had a chance to do that while here in NC because where I live I don't know of any areas that I feel are safe.... eeeek... I just said that.  The area I live in now is great, but outside of it (Fayetteville) it reminds me of back home Dallas or Southside Forth Worth... you just avoided it... whole different story that may come up sometime later.  As of now back to my relaxing colors of nature, choose this color combination because it was fitting to how I feel... laid back.

The kitty image ( I LOVE CATS) from Stampin' Up stamp set, "The Cat's Meow" and the sentiment from Unity Stamp (love them) "Could I be any Cuter?".  The base of the cardstock I used white bazzil and the beige and green I used K&Company Designer Mat Pad (textured). I inked the white base edges with Stampin Up ink Always Artichoke and the sentiment was stamped and inked the edges with Stampin Up Close to Cocoa.  To color the image I used Stampin' Up water color pencils then blended with a SU Blending pen.  I enjoyed this card, I hope you do to!  Be sure to stop by to enter Cindy's Challenges!  If you want to join in click HERE  to submit your card.  Don't forget to subscribe to her blog as well, Cindy always has a challenge and shares her work that she herself submits to other challenges!
