Mission Embossable

Amy at Love to Crop has yet another amazing and fun challenge ~Embossable You....
For this challenge, we have been requested to create a card, layout, or 3D project with EMBOSSING!!  This could be done with heat embossing or dry embossing -- If you don't have any heat embossing supplies or a Cuttlebug/Sizzix machine, Amy has suggested.... why not try adding some texture with a scoring tool or even a texture rubbing (remember the ones you might have done in elementary school???)...

For my card I used some goodies I received from an ebay purchase I made.  The seller sent me six pieces of black paper that had been embossed with Tim Holtz collection (tree).  I layered it onto white card stock and some designer paper from Oct 31 then cut a rectangle out and sandwiched a piece of vellum between the layers.  I stamped my images onto the vellum for the front.  Inside I used my InkadinkaCling stamp tree with gravestones, witch and cauldron.  Stampin' Up sets to get my bats and the sentiments.  I did heat emboss the sentiment on the front and the bats on the inside.  I stamped the cauldron image onto a piece of white card stock, colored the fire and logs with Stampin' Up pencils then blended them with a blending marker.  After drying I cut the fire and logs from the white card stock.  I then stamped the same cauldron image onto the designer paper then glued the piece I cut (fire and logs) from the white card stock to the DP.  I added stickles to give it even more dimension and I must admit it looks super cool!  The bats I stamped and as I said heat embossed them and cut them out.  I then curled the wings to make it seem as if they are in flight... eek creepy fun!  I added stickles to the witches eyes and the cats eyes as well as the green "foam" coming from the cauldron.  I took the pictures at night so I'm pretty sure the lighting just did not do the card justice so I will retake some pictures tomorrow morning after I get back from dropping off my Munchkin at school!  Thank you all for embracing me and tolerating my delinquency of late.  I will be away again soon because we finally have news that we may be DEFINITELY getting into the house Oct 21...eeeeek!!!  YEEEEAAAAY !  I don't know when we will have Internet so I'll be living off my iPhone for a while.. sniff, sniff, sniffle... but I will finally have a house so NO complaints.. I will miss you all and can't wait to get structure back!

Good thing comments are voice-activated cuz I.am.SPEECHLESS!! This is AMAZING!! :) I LOVE your flying bats (and I don't even LIKE bats!)... I'm trying to get my mind around the idea of you sitting huddled over your "craft-filled" suitcase next to the hotel window and creating all these magical things... Really, Annette... What will happen when you do move into that house??? After the unpacking and organizing, maybe you should find a closet to work in... as I've seen the most amazing things from you while working in your "limited" space... Wow. :)

Thanks so much for joining the "Embossable You" Challenge at Love To Crop!! So glad to have you play along!! :)

Oh my gosh, this is absolutely FABULOUS, Annette!! Wow, the little details you added are just stunning! I love the curled bat wings so it looks like they are in flight! So creative! And the stickles added to the bubbling goo in the cauldron is so awesome! The entire scene you have created is so fun and festive and just perfect for Halloween!! Thank you for linking up with the Love to Crop Embossable You Challenge!
